Bihar Agricultural University is an autonomous institute under Bihar state government established in 2010 under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) situated at Sabour, Bhagalpur district of Bihar. Many agricultural colleges are affiliated with this institution.

Campus

The university’s area of operation comprises of 25 districts of Bihar. It is to cater to the specific needs of this potential grain bowl of the state. The headquarters is located at present Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour Campus.  The college is the oldest agricultural college of the state, engaged in imparting education, conducting researches on farmer’s problems and transfer of technology under its extension mandate.

Facilities

The institution has various facilities in its different campuses. It has well-established placement cell, spacious laboratories, highly qualified faculties, transport facilities; residential facility for students and staff members. The institution has departmental libraries to provide access to the students. Medical facility is available 24×7 hours. The library holds the books, journals, databases, audio-visuals, e-books, e-journals, reports and legal studies etc.
