Birla Institute of Technology, (BIT) Mesra, Ranchi is a government aided engineering college established in the year 1955 by Mr. B M Birla. The college is located in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. The college is one of the premier institutes of engineering and management in the country. Besides this, the college is also known for imparting pharmacy education. The college is deemed to be a university by the UGC Act, 1956. The college is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and approved by UGC and AICTE New Delhi.
Campus:
The college is located at Mesra in Ranchi district (Jharkhand). The BIT main campus is spread in an area of 780 acres of land. The College campus is located in a peaceful and pollution free environment, enabling students to have good focus on their studies.
