Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya, Anand
Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) has been established in the year 1948. At the earlier stage of its inception. It was a private and self-financing institution was affiliated to the Bombay University. In the year 1958 it has become a government college, and now it is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University. The institution is approved by the MHRD and AICTE and DTE-state government of Gujarat.
The BVM campus is situated in the Vallabh Vidhya Nagar in district Anand, Gujarat. The BVM campus is spread over in 18.96 acres of land. The campus is 5 km away from the Anand Railway Station and 35 km away from the Vadodara Airport.
Students & Faculty:
The BVM offers total 748 seats for admission as 615 seats for UG programmes and 133 seats for PG programmes, as the annual intake capacity in all programmes. The BVM has total 147 faculty members from all departments.
The BVM campus provides 37 classrooms & 12 tutorial rooms, 60 laboratories, computer centre, library with 41750 volumes & 200 seating capacity, auditorium with 400 seating capacity, cafeteria, sports facility, gymnasium, separate hostel for boys and girls and medical facility. The campus provides the ramp for physically disabled students.
The BVM campus organizes various camps for blood donation, Thaelesemia and awareness about drug addiction. The campus organizes the literary activities, sports activities, cultural activities, alumni activities, technical activities and industrial tour. The campus has initiated and followed the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) for strengthening institutions to produce competent engineers.
The BVM is conducting total 17 academic courses as 10 B.Tech/B.E courses and 7 M.Tech/M.E courses in the field of engineering and technology. The core engineering branches are as the following:

The BVM campus has a placement cell and a personality development cell. The campus conducts teacher training programme and student development programme through the Infosys campus connect programme. The campus provides the career counselling and job placement to the students. MNCs like Essar, Infosys, TCS, ABB, L&T, Torrent Power and Siemens visit BVM every year for placement.
