Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSA), Kanpur
Chandra Shekhar Azad (CSA) University of Agriculture & Technology is an agricultural university at Kanpur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is named after the famous Indian revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad. The college becomes full-fledged university in 1975 with the merger of College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Mathura. The university caters to the needs of farming community spreads over 29 districts of six divisions of Uttar Pradesh.
Campus
At present, there are eight colleges in the university. The university is located in Nawabganj, Kanpur. The University is located at 8.4 km North-west of Kanpur Central railway/Bus Station. The University is well-connected by road, the mode of conveyance being rickshaw/auto- rickshaw and taxi.
Facilities
CSA University of Agriculture & Technology has all necessary facilities which are the needs of the students. The university has many facilities in campus such as cafeteria, connectivity, transport, etc. The university has well-maintained and spacious classrooms, ventilated labs, gymnasium, hostels for boys and girls, lecture halls, farms for research, health care centre, and a central library with large collection of books, ATM and well-equipped auditorium with maximum numbers of seating arrangement.
Programmes
Students are admitted to the under graduate programme through UPSEE (State Entrance Examination) conducted by UP Technical University, Lucknow, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Seats are allotted according to the merit of the students in UPSEE and their choice at the time of counseling 2008-09 onward students are taken through UPCATET (Uttar Pradesh Combine Agriculture And Technology Entrance Test).
