Dayanand College of Law, Kanpur

Dayanand College of Law was established in the year of 1958 and inaugurated by the education Minister Pt. Kamlapati Tripathi. This college is affiliated with Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur and has an approval of Bar Council of India (BCI).

Campus

This college has a modern campus located in Civil Line, Kanpur. Kanpur is the district of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The campus comprises of administrative block and student block and easily accessible via all modes of transportation.

Facilities

All the classrooms are well-ventilated and spacious and equipped with the modern teaching aids. The library is spacious and stocked with a good collection of text books, law reports, periodicals and reference books. It also provides digital library facility which is equipped with latest online databases and other related software. It houses an advance computer centre and a multimedia centre equipped with latest configuration PCs, internet, projectors, multimedia, etc. Other facilities are well-maintained canteen, indoor and outdoor games facility, moot court, seminar hall, medical facility, transport facility, etc.

Programmes

Dayanand College of Law offers an LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) programme. The duration of this course is three years, comprises of total six semesters. It is mandatory for every student to go through the internship programme in order to have practical experience while working with reputed lawyers, office of honorable judges and law firms.

Admission

For admission, candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree from any recognized institution with securing at least 45% marks for general candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates. Admission to students will be given as per the college authority rules and regulations.
