Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) is the only advanced institution named after the late. Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance Group of India. The institution is founded in the year 2001 by the Mr. Anil Ambani, the chairman of the all listed companies of the Reliance Group. The DA-IICT was recognized as the Private University in the year 2004 by the UGC and Gujarat government.

Campus:

The DA-IICT campus is spread over in 60 acres of land. The DA-IICT is sited on the outskirt of the Gandhi Nagar City on the Bypass Road near National Institute of fashion Technology. The campus is 20 minutes drive from the Airport and 50 minutes drive from the Railway Station.

Students, Faculty & Staff:

The DA-IICT offers admission on 380 seats for all programmes. The campus has around 69 faculty members from all departments out of which 56 faculty members are PhD holders. The campus has 20 members in administration work.

Facilities:

The DA-IICT is an Eco-friendly campus with huge numbers of plant and bird species founded in the campus area. The campus provides full facilities and amenities to the students as well as the staff. The campus provides the facility of the computer centre, library, bank, ATM, canteen, guest house, security, hostels for boys’ & girls’, playground and transportation.

Activities:

The students of this University celebrate the sports and cultural programme every year named Synapse (Annual Techno – Cultural Festival). There are various club’s activities conducted by the students in the Campus for sports, film, social, media, hobby, music and dance.

Programmes:

The campus conducts the B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Des and PhD programmes in the field of engineering & technology, agriculture, multimedia and applied science. All courses are approved by the AICTE. The main engineering branch offered by the college is Information and Communication Technology.

Placement:

The campus has established an Entrepreneurship Development Cell and a Training & Placement cell to facilitate the students through career counselling for their goal and providing the job placement. Samsung, Yahoo, Oracle, ZS, Amazon, Flipkart, Hp and Google are the top recruiters of this institution.
