Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH) is a government autonomous institution, has been established in the year 2009. The IITH is approved by the MHRD and AICTE. It was inaugurated by the Smt. Sonia Gandhi, the chairperson of UPA. The campus is a benchmark in the field of research and development.

Campus:

The IITH is sited on the National Highway-9 in Kandi Village near Ordinance Factory in Yeddumailaram in District Hyderabad, AP. The campus is located on the outskirt of the city over 576 acres of land. The campus is 60 km away form the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station, 50 km from Secundrabad Railway Station and 60 km from Shamsabad Airport.

Programmes:

The IIT-Hyderabad is conducting total 36 academic programmes as 7 B.Tech courses, 8 M.Tech courses, 3 M.Sc programmes, 6 M.Phill programmes and 12 PhD programmes in engineering, applied science and humanities. Read More >>

The IITM has more than 1000 students from all departments. The college has more than 148 faculty members and 96 non-teaching staff from all departments.

The IITH campus provides the spacious classrooms, huge library, central computer centre, separate & secured hostel for boys & girls, Mess & cafeteria, conference hall, seminar hall, laboratories & workshops, internet facility, transportation and sports facility.

Activities:

The IITH campus organizes cultural cum technical festival named ELAN every year which includes the debates, kite fight, dance & Rangoli competition. The SPIC MACAY has held the event in IITM. The campus celebrates the republic day & Independence Day.

Placement:

The IIT-Hyderabad has an excellent record of job placement for the students. The campus has placed more than 85% students of the last academic year in reputed companies.
