Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), School of Agriculture (SOA), New Delhi
The School of Agriculture (SOA), was established in January 2005 at IGNOU. Its aim is to educate the rural unemployed youth in the field agriculture. The University was established by an Act of Parliament. The university is the national resource centre for open and distance learning programmes in various disciplines. The SOA is affiliated with IGNOU University and approved by Indian Council for Agriculture Research. It offers many courses in various disciplines of Agriculture.
Campus
The SOA is located in Maidan Ghari, New Delhi. The distance from the railway station is 20 kms and from bus stand is 33 kms. The area of the SOA College is spread over 2.5 acre of land. The campus is free from pollution and it is situated in rural area. The whole campus is enabled with the Wi-Fi connectivity. The faculty members of the college are highly experienced and qualified. The campus of the college is full of facilities.
Facilities
The college is well equipped with all modern facilities. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to the students. The classrooms of the college are well furnished and ventilated. It also provides the Laboratories facilities with latest technologies and modern equipments. It also has many other facilities like central library, sports, research unit, security, canteen, support services, transport facilities, etc.

The SOA College of IGNOU offers many courses in Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. It offers courses in Distance, Online and Regular mode. IGNOU consists of 21 schools of learning offering different courses. The courses offered in School of Agriculture are:

The mission and Endeavour of the placement cell of SOA College is to enhance and facilitate the process of gainful employment. It tries to provide the entry-level jobs as well as mid-career level employment opportunities.
