Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Kanchipuram is the self-financing college run under the aegis of Karpaga Vinayaga educational Trust. The courses regulated by the college are approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. The college has a team of highly skilled and dedicated faculty that imparts pedagogy in the medical field.

Campus

The college covers the sprawling area of 63 acres situated along to NH-45 near Maduranthagam of Kanchipuram district. The college is situated in the south Indian state Tamil Nadu. The campus comprises of independent administrative block, educational block and hospital.

Facilities

The lecture theaters of the college are spacious and well-lightened. The library has the unique collection of periodicals and are provided with latest internet facilities. The college provides separate girls and boys hostel facility. The hostel buildings are situated close to the campus premises. The mess facility is also available in the campus of the college. Programmes

KIMS offers undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). It is a 5 years 6 months duration course (including one year internship). The minimum qualification eligibility required for this course is 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. It must be required for the candidates to attain the age of 17 years as on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
