Lukhdhirji Engineering College, Rajkot
Lukhdhirji Engineering College (LEC) was originally started in the year 1931 with the name Morbi Technical Institute. In the year 1951, Late Shri Lukhdhirji had donated the land to the institution and that was the time of establishment of the LEC after his name. The LEC is a government engineering college and affiliated to the Saurashtra University, Rajkot. The college is approved by the AICTE and Ministry of HRD and administered by the state government of Gujarat.
Campus:
The LEC campus is sited on the Chotila – Kandla National Highway-8 on the bank of the Machhu River in Town Morbi in District Rajkot, Gujarat. The campus covers around 53 acres of land. The campus is 70 km away from the Rajkot as the nearest Airport, 190 km from Ahmedabad City and 1 km from the Nazar Bagh Railway Station.
Students & Faculty:
The LEC has around 1230 seats for an annual intake in all programmes. The LEC campus has more than 58 faculty members from all departments.
Facilities:
The LEC campus provides the accommodation for the students and staff with an arrangement of separate hostel for girls. The campus provides the playground, workshops, labs, drawing hall, swimming pool, gymnasium and library.
Activities:
The college is enlisted in TEQIP and after the same for education improvement. The campus organizes the “Saptadhara Event” on Independence Day includes music, dance, theatre, yoga, sports, knowledge and social services.
Programmes:
The LEC is offering the eight B.Tech programme in engineering and seven Diploma programme in engineering and technology. The college also offers the Distance Learning Diploma Programme in some engineering disciplines. The core engineering branches offered by the campus are as following:

The LEC campus has a well established training and placement cell. For the last 3 year, the college has placed more than 27% of passing students in various reputed industries.
