Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune was founded on 10th February, 1949. It is a public university that is affiliated to the University Grants Commission (UGC). It has about 612 affiliated colleges & 307 recognized research institutes. The University Department of Law was started in the year of 1965. All the law courses are approved by the Bar Council of India.

Campus

The University is located on Ganeshkhind Road, Pune, Maharashtra. The campus of the university is spread over 411 acres of land. The University has state-of-the-art infrastructure which comprises of separate academic, administrative & students blocks. The campus is well-linked with the various modes of transportation such as Air, Railway & Road.

Facilities

The University has a well-stocked library with a huge gathering of national and international journals, periodicals, reports, books, dailies, magazines, etc. The library is well-connected with the Internet connectivity and computer facilities. There is a facility of the computer center, seminar hall, conference hall, canteen, indoor & outdoor sports, medical care center, etc. The Classrooms are well-equipped with the LCD Projector & audio-visual aids. The University has a separate hostel accommodation for both girls & boys with mess & security facility.

Programmes

Savitribai Phule Pune University, Department of Law offers one year Master of Law (LLM). There are 120 seats available for LLM course.

Admission

Students who seek admission into LLM programme, they have to complete three or five years Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree programme. The admission into this course on the basis of the merit secured in the entrance test & marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The entrance test will be conducted by the University.
