Shantilal Shah Engineering College, Bhavnagar
Shantilal Shah Engineering College (SHEC) is a government institution, was established in the year 1983, administered by the state government of Gujarat. The institution is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University. The SHEC is approved by the state directorate of technical education, AICTE and Ministry of HRD and government of Gujarat.
The SHEC campus is sited on the Vartej – Ghogha Highway in Village Sidsar at Post Vartej in District Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The campus is 12 km away from the Bhavnagar City. The SHEC campus is spread over in 82.19 acres of land. The campus is well-connected by the roads.
Students & Faculty:
The college has 86 faculty members from all departments. The SHEC has the 832 per year intake capacity in all programmes.
The campus provides the library with around 20000 volumes, computing facility with 370 PC’s & 4 Mbps inter bandwidth, boys hostel, separate common rooms, cafeteria, stationery store, first-aid, student insurance, language lab, laboratories and transportation facility.
The college organizes technical talent hunt programme named “Samanvay”, technoseva programme and knowledge sharing club. The college scheduled in TEQIP II. The SHEC organizes various co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
The SHEC is conducting total 14 academic courses as 8 UG and 4 PG in the field of engineering and technology. The institution also offers the part-time engineering course in mechanical and civil branch. The main engineering branches are as the following:
