Sir CR Reddy College of Engineering has been started in the year 1989. It is a private and self-financing institution. The college is affiliated to the Andhra University and approved by the AICTE. The campus is accredited by the NBA.

The SCRCE is situated on the Vijayawada Road (NH-5) at the Vatluru Village in Eluru district of AP. The campus is spread over the 34.5 acres of land. The campus is 5 km away from the Eluru Township and 60 km from the Vijayawada. The campus is well-connected by the road and rail network.
