The University of Mumbai previously known as University of Bombay was came into existence in the year of 1857. It is a public university with an approval of UGC (University Grants Commission). In 2012, this university was granted “A” grade status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Campus

This university has a sprawling campus located on MG Road, Fort, Mumbai. Mumbai is the capital city of the state of Maharashtra. The campus has been spread over 243 acres of land. This college has another campus located in Vidyanagri and sub-campuses situated in Ratnagiri, Thane and Kalyan.

Facilities

This college houses seven hostels to provide residential facilities for boys and girls students. Hostel rooms are well-maintained and equipped with all the required amenities. The classrooms are spacious & airy and equipped with audio-video teaching equipments. It has an advanced computer centre equipped with latest computers and fast internet connectivity.
