CUET UG 2026 Dress Code Guidelines: National Testing Agency has released an advisory for candidates related to dress code and allowed items for the exam day. There are no changes in the dress code and exam day guidelines. They remain similar as previous year.
CUET UG 2026 is scheduled from 11th-31st May 2026. Admit cards have been released for all exam shifts. Complete datesheet and timing of exam can be viewed on issued hall ticket via login.
Previously, NTA opened online window for CUET UG 2026 reallocation of exam centres untill May 7, 2026. It was opened for affected candidates who were allotted centres other than the preferences submitted by them in online application form.
CUET UG exam is conducted by NTA for UG admissions offered by central and participating universities across the country. Moreover, the exam conducted is conducted in CBT mode in India and 15 cities outside India.
CUET UG Dress Code 2026 – What Should Candidates Wear?
Candidates appearing for CUET UG 2026 exam, should strictly follow all the instructions provided in the notice and admit card. This helps to avoid any issue at exam centre. As per the notice, students are advised to wear simple and comfortable clothes.
White Light clothing is preferred. Also they are allowed to wear woollens, if they feel need for it, subject to reporting at the centre well in advance to enable frisking. Furthermore, normal slippers, shoes & low heels is preffered footwear.
- Religious Clothing: Students are allowed to wear article or objects of faith, however they must report well in advance to enable frisking. Wearing religious threads such as kalava is also allowed.
- Females Clothing: The ones wearing any cultural or customary attire should also reach exam centre on time to complete the frisking process smoothly.
- Eatables: Any kind of packed or unpacked food is not allowed inside the exam hall. All candidates can carry transparent water bottles.
Banned Items Inside Exam hall
Students should not carry banned items on the exam day. Complete details of banned items are mentioned on the admit card.
Electronic devices are banned such as mobile phones, bluetooth devices, earphone, calculator, smart watches, etc. Accessories like bags or any stationery items like test material, papers, etc. is not allowed.

Exam Day Guidelines
On the day of exam, students must appear before the reporting time mentioned on admit card. Appearing at the hall on time with avoid last minute stress.
Strictly do not forget to carry admit card along with valid photo Id proof and a passport size photograph to the exam centre.
The authority has requested the candidates to strictly adhere the provided advisory. Candidates should also cooperate with the exam staff for the smooth functioning of exam.
