Inspire SHE 2025 Application process will begin in the month of August 2025. Department of Science & Technology (DST) will organise Inspire (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) for attraction of talent to science. SHE (Scholarship for Higher Education) is a component of Inspire aiming students to study basic and natural science subjects at UG and PG level.
Meritorious candidates who are interested in pursuing research as a career are provided scholarships under this program. Also, KVPY has been subsumed with Inspire SHE. KVPY fellows can register with Inspire SHE to grab scholarships for pursuing UG/ PG research programs. Inspire SHE (KVPY) 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Check here complete Inspire SHE Eligibility Criteria 2025 before availing for scholarship. Only those candidates are eligibility to apply who are:
- Age Criteria: Students who falls between the age group 17-22 years can apply for scholarship under SHE.
- Meritorious students securing top 1% aggregate marks in Class XII exam of any State/ Central education board in India. Also, students should be pursuing courses in Natural and Basic Sciences at the B.Sc., B.S and Int. M.Sc. / M.S level OR
- Top students securing 1% aggregate marks in Class XII exam of any State/ Central education board in India and pursuing Int. M.S. courses in Natural and Basic Science at NISER, IISER and Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences- University of Mumbai and Visva -Bharati, Shanti Niketan OR
- Students selected under KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) and pursing Bachelor/ Master level programs in Natural Sciences OR
- Students securing ranks in JEE of IIT, AIPMT (within top 10000 ranks), and presently pursing Natural and Basic Sciences courses in India at the B.Sc., B.S, Int. M.Sc/ M.S. level.
- NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) Scholars, Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) scholars and International Olympiad medalists pursuing Bachelor/ Master level courses in Natural Sciences are also eligible.

Inspire SHE (KVPY) Selection Procedure 2025
After receiving online applications, the selection process takes an average at least of four months from the last date of registration. Only the meritorious candidates who satisfy all eligibility norms, will get a provisional offer letter stating their selection.
Students can download the offer letter via online mode through login on the website. Students must submit the required documents as stated for further procedure within the prescribed period.
Inspire SHE (KVPY) 2025 Cut Off
Students are required to secure minimum cut off marks/ rank to get selected for the Scholarship. Only the students who will obtain cut off marks/ rank equal to or above the prescribed marks in qualifying exam will be considered eligible.
Cut Off list will be provided in the PDF form online. Top 1% cut off (12th) will be released for various boards.
Inspire SHE (KVPY) 2025 Merit List
Inspire SHE Merit List 2025 will be released in the month of June/ July 2025. Candidates will be able to view the merit list online via login. The list will mention the names of the provisionally selected candidates.
Also, the list of rejected students will be uploaded online on the website. Only the selected candidates will be required to upload their documents on the portal for the consideration of the Department.
Inspire SHE 2025 Scholarship Amount
Students qualifying in Inspire SHE 2025 will get scholarship of Rs.80,000/- p.a. Annual scholarship of Rs.5000/- per month with total value of Rs.60,000/- will be received by each qualifying candidate.
The SHE scholars are required to undertake summer research projects under an active researcher in any recognized research centre across the country. Also, the candidates will be paid Rs.20,000/- as summertime mentorship grant. Scholars are required to submit project report and certificate from mentor after completion of project in provided time.
