AIIMS MBBS 2026 Eligibility
NMC has removed the upper age limit from NEET UG exam. However, applicants will be able to check their eligibility for NEET UG here. Before filling AIIMS Application, candidates must check if they fulfil the given eligibility criteria, as form will be accepted only of eligible candidates.
Below, we have mentioned the complete eligibility criteria to appear in the examination.
Qualification Criteria:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate should pass the 12th/ Higher Secondary Education (HSC)/ Senior School Certificate Education (CBSE)/Intermediate Science (I.Sc) or equivalent examination from a recognised board/ university of any state.
- Subjects: It will be necessary to pass the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology with English subjects.
- Minimum Marks: General category candidate must score minimum 50% marks, 45% for PH & 40% for SC/ ST category to be eligible.
- Appearing: Candidates those who have appeared or appearing in their 10+2 examination will also be eligible to apply.
- Aadhar card will not be mandatory to upload during NEET registration.
Eligibility for 15% All India Quota Seats
Nationality:
- Candidates must be citizens of India, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign Nationals.
For J&K & Ladakh:
- Candidates from UT of J&K and Ladakh will not be eligible for 15% All India Quota seats. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically along with confirmation page for the record and to present the same during counselling.
- Candidates from J&K & Ladakh will be able to appear in NEET exam for admission to Private Medical/ Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University & Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune subject to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
For Andhra Pradesh & Telangana:
- From 2018, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana state joins and contribute to the 15% All India Quota seats.
- Candidates from these states are now eligible for 15% AIQ seats without any self-declaration.
Eligibility for 85% State Quota Seats
All the states participating in the NEET 2026 will be able to fill their 85% seats of MBBS/BDS through state counselling, while the remaining 15% of the seats will be filled through All India centralized counselling. The eligibility for the 85% quota seats of the states are mentioned below:
- Candidates must have completed/ appearing in 10th and 12th from the state.
- Candidates must possess a valid domicile in the state.
- Candidates should possess a residency proof of the state.
Age Criteria:
- Candidate’s age must be 17 years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission.
- There will be no upper age limit to apply for NEET UG 2026 exam.

AIIMS 2026 Application Form
Candidates have to fill AIIMS MBBS 2026 application form (NEET) through online mode. NEET 2026 application form has been made accessible on 8th February 2026.
Candidates can fill the application form on 11th March 2026. Students must fill details in form carefully otherwise they have to make correction from 12th to 14th March 2026.
