CUET UG 2026 Photo Mismatch: National testing agency has recently extended CUET UG 2026 photo verification last date till April 16, 2026.
It has been informed by NTA on its twitter handle. The notice is available on the official website cuet.nta.nic.in.
The advisory PDF is released for certain candidates who have registered using proof documents other than Aadhaar card.
Also, the live photographs captured by students during the registration process did not match with photographs as per the records with UIDAI. Meanwhile, NTA will soon release the exam city slip and admit cards on its website. The exam is scheduled between 11th and 31st May 2026.
CUET UG 2026 Solutions for Photo Mismatch
Recently, NTA has released advisory regarding CUET UG 2026 photo verification last date. During this opportunity, candidates can verify their identity by uploading a signed and attested certificate via provided link sent on the registered email id of only certain students who have error in their uploaded photo.

Previously, NTA’s twitter post said – “Facing a photo mismatch issue in CUET (UG) 2026? Don’t stress — you’ve got time to fix it. Upload your verified certificate with a recent attested photo before the deadline and carry it on exam day. Stay alert, follow the official process, and avoid last-minute hassle. You’ve got this 💪”
Earlier On April 7, a photo mismatch advisory for CUET UG 2026 registered candidates was released.
The advisory stated, “In some cases, the live photographs captured by the candidates during the application process did not match with the photographs as per records available with UIDAI.
Therefore, the NTA has provided such affected candidates with an opportunity to verify their identity by uploading a signed and attested certificate. In addition, candidates must upload a recent photograph duly certified by their School/ College Principal or Headmaster. However, if the above verifying authorities are not accessible, candidates may obtain attestation from a Class-I Gazetted Officer, such as a Tehsildar, Revenue Officer, SDM, DM, or a Class-I Gazetted Officer of the Indian Embassy (for NRI candidates).”

CUET UG 2026 Certificate Submission Deadline
Candidates can upload the duly signed certificate in PDF format (placed at Annexure-1). They can upload it via the provided link sent to their registered email id until April 16, 2026. Additionally, the link using which students can update certificate is provided in the above attached PDF.
Also, candidates have to produce a printed copy of same at the exam centre for physical verification on the exam day.

Students can check their alloted centre, exact exam shift and timing once NTA releases the admit card. According to previous year data, the authorities released the admit card for CUET 2025 on 11th May 2026, 2-3 days before the exam date. So, candidates can expect exam city slip to release by 5th May 2026 and admit card by 9th May 2026.

I have gotten the mail telling about the photo mismatch detected. But when I login into my registration window, I could not find any kind of link or option to upload it. According to your instruction I can only see a link which you provided with the advisory Photo mismatch pdf. But it was not opening. I send a mail about the problem to nta help dusk and also contact with the help dusk. But no reply and any kind of support to solve the problem from the mail and help dusk. I cleared the verified certificate and only want to upload it. What should I do now Ma’am?.

The advisory was for only certain candidates who have received mail directly from NTA regarding photo mismatch. So kindly check any mail received from NTA. Note that this is for students who registered using Non-Adhaar Id proof.

The photo mismatch issue is only for certain candidates. If there is mismatch in your photo, NTA may have sent the link to upload certificate on your registered mail id.

NTA’s advisory on photo mismatch clearly says that they have sent the link sent to registered email id. Kindly check carefully. If still not found, kindly contact officials.
