HPCET 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria
Himachal Pradesh Technical University shall use the following criteria to handle tie- breaker scenarios. The tie-breaker occurs when applicants get the same aggregate marks in HPCET 2024 or the qualifying examination.
Direct Entry B.Tech/ B.Pharmacy/ B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda):
- Candidates with the higher Physics marks will be ranked higher.
- If physics scores are equal, the candidate with higher chemistry score will be considered.
- If both Physics and Chemistry scores are equal, the score in the third subject will be compared.
- If tie continues, the 12th standard qualifying exam grades will be taken into consideration.
- If the candidate’s grades are not mentioned in the HPCET 2024 application form, then they will be considered during counselling.
- If qualifying grades are also similar, candidate’s date of birth will be considered, older candidate will be ranked higher.
HPCET 2024 Cut-Off
