IISER 2022 Seat Allotment has been released on 5th October 2022 for fifth round. IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) entrance exam is a national level entrance exam. Candidates can get admission in 5 years of Dual Degree BS-MS courses through SCB channel. There are a total of seven IISER institutions in which candidates can get admission such as Pune, Mohali, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Berhampur, Tirupati and Bhopal. IISER organises the admission procedure through online mode. On the basis of a candidate’s score in IISER aptitude test, the admission is offered as SCB channel in the institution affiliated campuses.
The admission is provided on the basis of KVPY and JEE Advanced entrance exams. Candidates will have to submit the score of these two exams and download the acceptance letter (offer letter) to attend the counselling.
Candidates those who wish to get admission in any of the IISER through any one of the entrance exams can fill the application form. Allotment has been released on 23rd August 2022 for SCB channel. It will be released in October 2022 for JEE Advance channel.
Out of the total seats, the 50% seats can be filled through KVPY and JEE Advanced and remaining seats can be filled through SCB channel. Seat allotment for SCB channel has been released through online mode.
IISER Admission Procedure 2022
The IISER offers admissions under various channels. From below, candidates can check the channel-wise admission procedure.
IISER Admissions under KVPY Channel: Candidates those who want to appeared this examination, must have to appear in the KVPY entrance exam first. On the basis of the KVPY score card, the IISER will allot the seats to the candidates. The candidates must have to fill the application form in order to participate in the counselling. Candidates also have to pay the application fee as per the requirement.
IISR Admissions under JEE Advanced Channel: Under this channel, the admissions is offered on the basis of the candidates JEE Advanced score. Only the JEE Advanced qualified candidates can permit to participate in the counselling. Candidates must have to fill the application form in order to register for the counselling. After this, candidate are able to download the acceptance letter from the website. Candidates those who have registered on the website are only considered for the counselling.
IISER Admissions under SCB Channel: In this channel, candidates will have to first appear in the aptitude test which is conducted by the IISER. On the basis of marks obtained in the aptitude test, the ranks will be allotted to the candidate. On the basis of received ranks, the admission will be allotted to the candidates. The Joint Admission Committee will allot the seats to the candidates on the basis of filled choices, ranking & availability of seats.

The 50% seats of IISERs institutions can be filled because of JEE Advanced & KVPY scores. The vacant seats to candidates can be occupied on the instructions of state & central board as per the IISER Aptitude Test 2022.
