IISER 2020 Admission ProcedureIISER 2020 Counselling for SCB Channel will release in the month of 22nd June 2020. IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) entrance exam is a national level entrance exam. Candidates will get admission in 5 years of Dual Degree BS-MS courses through SCB channel. There are a total of seven IISER institutions in which candidates will get admission such as Pune, Mohali, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Berhampur, Tirupati and Bhopal. For admission in IISER, candidates will have to apply through IISER Aptitude test, KVPY and JEE Advanced exams. IISER 2020 Admission

IISER will conduct the admission procedure through online mode. On the basis of a candidate’s score in IISER aptitude test, the admission will be offered as SCB channel in the institution affiliated campuses.

The admissions will also be provided on the basis of KVPY and JEE Advanced entrance exams. Candidates will have to submit the score of these two exams and download the acceptance letter (offer letter) to attend the counseling.

Candidates those who wish to get admission in any of the IISER through any one of the entrance exams will have to fill the application form.

Out of the total seats, the 50% seats will be filled through KVPY and JEE Advanced and remaining seats will be filled through SCB channel.

The IISER offers admissions under various channels. From below, candidates can check the channel-wise admission procedure.

IISER Admissions under KVPY Channel: Candidates those who will appear through this examination, will have to appear in the KVPY entrance exam first. On the basis of the KVPY score card, the IISER will allot the seats to the candidates. The candidates will have to fill the application form in order to participate in the counselling. Candidates also will have to pay the application fee as per the requirement.

IISR Admissions under JEE Advanced Channel: Under this channel, the admissions will be offered on the basis of the candidates JEE Advanced score. Only the JEE Advanced qualified candidates will be permitted to participate in the counselling. Candidates will have to fill the application form in order to register for the counselling. After this, candidate will be able to download the acceptance letter from the website. Candidates those who will register on the website will be only considered for the counseling.

IISER Admissions under SCB Channel: In this channel, candidates will have to first appear in the aptitude test which will be conducted by the IISER. On the basis of marks obtained in the aptitude test, the ranks will be allotted to the candidate. On the basis of received ranks, the admission will be allotted to the candidates. The Joint Admission Committee will allot the seats to the candidates on the basis of filled choices, ranking & availability of seats.

Documents Required

Candidates will have to bring the original certificates along with one set of photocopies on the counselling day.

  • Counselling Letter
  • Admit card of JEE Advanced, KVPY and IISER aptitude test
  • Score card of JEE Advanced, KVPY and IISER aptitude test
  • Demand Draft
  • Class 10th marksheet and certificates
  • Class 12th marksheet and certificates
  • Category certificate
  • Passport size photograph, etc

The 50% seats of IISERs institutions will be filled because of JEE Advanced & KVPY scores. The vacant seats to candidates will be occupied on the instructions of state & central board as per the IISER Aptitude Test 2020.
