Know information related to the IISER 2026 Application Form before applying for the exam:

• Candidates will be able to register via online mode. No facility will be provided to the candidates via offline mode.
• Registration form will be made available on the website from second week of March 2026.
• Fill application form with correct details including educational, personal, address, contact details etc.
• Upload passport size scanned images of photograph & signature in the prescribed format.
• No application form will need to be submit through any offline or other mode to the authority.
• The last date to fill application form will be till second week of April 2026.
• Correction window will be provided to the candidates to rectify incorrect details in third week of April 2026.

How to Apply for IISER 2026

• Step 1: Visit the IISER website (link will be available above).
• Step 2: Click on the ‘Registration’ link & provide details i.e. name, ID email etc.
• Step 3: A system generated unique application number will be received.
• Step 4: Now click on ‘Login’ button & provide asked details.
• Step 5: Now fill application form with details like personal, academic details etc.
• Step 6: Check all the details before submitting the application form.
• Step 7: Now go to the payment section & submit application fee through online mode.
• Step 8: Crosscheck details filled in the registration form & download it for future references.

IISER 2026 Eligibility

Candidates must check IISER 2026 Eligibility Criteria before filling out the application form:

• Nationality: Candidates of Indian nationals/ PIO/ OCI will be eligible to apply for IAT.
• Qualification: 12th passed or its equivalent exam qualified candidates will be able to apply for exam.
• Marks: It will be compulsory to secure 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) in class 12th in order to apply for IISER.
• Subjects: In the 12th class, candidates must have subjects i.e. Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in class 12th or its equivalent class will also be eligible to apply for exam.

IISER 2026 Exam Pattern

Aspirants must be familiar with the below mentioned IISER exam pattern to appear in the exam:

• Exam Mode: The examination will be held in online mode in various centres of India.
• Medium: Question paper will be prepared in two languages i.e. English and Hindi.
• Type of question: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) will be asked in the IAT exam.
• Total question: The IISER paper will contain 60 questions.
• Duration: Total duration of 180 minutes to solve the question paper.
• Marking scheme: For each correct answer four marks will be provided.
• Negative marking: One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

IISER 2026 Admit Card

IISER 2026 Admit Card will be released in second week of May 2026. Hall ticket will contain details about the exam i.e. candidate name, roll number, exam date & time, exam centre etc. On the day of exam, candidates will need to procedure admit card with one identity proof.

The admit card will be a mandatory document which needs to be carried on the day of examination. It will be uploaded by the authority through login. In case of any discrepancy found in the details of the admit card, candidates must immediately contact the authority.

IISER 2026 Answer Key

Answer key will be made available on the website after few days of the exam. Candidates will be able to download IISER 2026 answer key from fourth week of May 2026 through online mode. The answer key will give the candidates idea about their marks obtained in the exam.

If the candidates have any doubt regarding the answer then the facility of objection will also be provided for a limited time period. Based on the objection submitted and after verification, the final answer key will be prepared by the IAT officials.

IISER 2026 Result

IISER 2026 Result will be announced in the month of June 2026. It will be declared through online mode on the IISER portal. Candidates will need login details i.e. application number & password to check their results. Result will be available in the form of rank card.

Based on the rankcard, candidates will be able to enrol for the counselling procedure organized by various institutes. Rank card will contain details i.e. all india rank & category rank. Candidates must keep their rank card safe for admission references.

IISER 2026 Cut Off

Cut off will be released after declared of the result in online mode. The cut off will include the opening and closing ranks of the participating institutes. The cut off will be made available by various institutes on the basis of candidate’s category.

Candidates must obtain the minimum cut off marks to be eligible for admission in the participating institutes. IISER 2026 Cut Off will be available in the form of PDF for different category.

IISER 2026 Counselling

IISER 2026 Counselling will be commenced from the month of June/ July 2026. Candidates selected for counselling will first have to register on the website of the concerned institute. There will be different rounds of the admission. Candidates have to fill preference to the course in which they want to take admission.

Candidates who will get seats will have to download their allotment letter and report to the respective institute within the given time period. Candidates are also advised to bring the required documents to the reporting centre for verification.
