The CLAT application form has been started from 1st January 2020. The candidates those will be eligible can fill the application form for admission. The eligibility criteria required to appear in the entrance exam are as follows:
- No upper age limit to apply for CLAT.
- Candidates those seeking for admission in a law UG course, should pass the 12th or equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category candidates).
- For admission in law PG courses, candidates should posses the LL.B or its equivalent degree from a recognized university/college with minimum required marks.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
After declaration of the entrance exam result, candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling as per their ranks. Candidates have to register on the respective counselling website for participating in the counselling.
In a counselling session, candidates have to fill the preferences of colleges and courses after making payment of counselling fee.
The concerned authority will allot the seats to the candidates on the basis of choices filled by the candidates, rank of the candidates and availability of seats in participating institutions.
Candidates must report the allotted college before last date of admission with their original documents.
