National School of Drama (NSD) is a renowned theatre training institution which organises its national level admission procedure every year. Through this admission procedure, students get admission in three year full time diploma courses in dramatic arts.
The National School of Drama also provides training in the field of acting, design, etc. Candidates need to qualify the preliminary examination and the final workshop to get entry. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for admission through online or offline mode. NSD 2025 Application Form
Applicants must go through the given instructions before filling up the NSD 2025 application form:
- The NSD 2025 application form will be released through online mode and offline mode.
- Candidates will be able to fill the registration form in the second week of June 2025.
- Fill the details in application form such as educational, personal, contact, address details, etc.
- Candidates are advised to fill the application form carefully as no correction facility will be provided to candidates after submission of form.
- Before filling the application form, students must fulfil the prescribed eligible criteria of NSD 2025.
- Upload the scanned images & documents according to the prescribed size and format.
- Students will be able to apply for admission till the second week of July 2025.
- Applicants must send the offline filled application form along with the required documents by post to the authority.

Application Fee:
- NSD registration/ application fee is non- refundable in nature.
- Fee can be submitted through online as well as offline mode.
- For making online payment, candidates will need to pay Rs. 50/-.
- For offline payment, applicants will be required to pay Rs. 150/-.
- Methods of online payment will be debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
- Fee through offline mode can be paid using demand draft/ pay order, payable at Delhi in favor of Director, National School of Drama, New Delhi.
NSD 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check out the NSD eligibility criteria 2025:
- Qualification: Applicants must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university in India or Abroad.
- Age limit: Students’ age should be within 18 to 30 years as on 11th December 2025. There will be 5 years relaxation for SC/ ST category candidates.
- Experience: Candidates will be required to have a participation in at least 4 different theatre productions with attached document, proof of the theatre experience i.e. certificate of participation, brochure, leaflet, newspaper clips etc.
- Working knowledge: Applicants should have a working knowledge of Hindi/ English.
- Recommendation letter: To be eligible, students must have a recommendation letter from at- least one theatre expert (not older than six months).

- For offline procedure, students will need to purchase an application form from the nearest NSD office.
