Here we are providing the detailed official schedule for NSD 2024 admission procedure:

Availability of Application Form:

The NSD 2024 application form of the 2024 session has been released via online mode from 10th April 2024.

Last Date of Application Form Submission:

The deadline to submit the application form for all the aspiring candidates is till 10th May 2024. Any application after the passing of deadline can not be accepted.

Release of Admit Card:

The admit card for the 2024 session would be out a week or 2 weeks before the conduction of the examination.

Only the registered candidates will be able to download the admit card. It will be mandatory for the candidates to carry the NSD 2024 admit card to the venue of the examination or else they would not be permitted to appear in the examination.

Date of Examination:

The NSD Preliminary test/ audition will be held at twelve centres. All the cities hosting preliminary examination would have different audition dates for the participating candidates.

Result Declaration:

The result of the NSD Entrance test will be declared within a month of the conduction of the examination. Preliminary interview result will be released for Bengaluru centre.

After the NSD 2024 results is out, the subsequent merit list on the basis of which the candidates will be called for final workshop will be started.

The final workshop will be conducted from August 2024. Final interview result for the candidates will be released in August 2024 via online mode.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form as without fulfilling the eligibility norms they won’t be permitted to enroll as a student at NSD. The Eligibility Criteria of NSD is provided below:

Qualification Criteria:

The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized university.

Theater Work Experience:

The candidate has to participate in at least 6 theatre productions.

Age Limit:

• The minimum age limit is 18 years.
• The maximum age limit is 30 years.
• Reserved category candidates would get 5 years relaxation upon submission of relevant caste certificate issued by competent authority.

Language:

• The candidate should have fluency in English and Hindi language.
• The candidate is required to have video evidence as documentary proof of theater experience.
