How to Apply for PTU Admission 2026 

Candidates can check step-by-step procedure below to apply for PTU exam:

• Step 1: Visit the website of online PTU (link is available above).
• Step 2: On the homepage, start with the registration option and fill the basic details such as name, gender, email ID, mobile number etc.
• Step 3: Now login using registration number and generated password.
• Step 4: Fill the application form by providing required information such as personal, communicational, academic details etc.
• Step 5: Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature within a prescribed size and format.
• Step 6: Submit the application fee with available payment gateways.
• Step 7: Preview and verify the entered details in application form & press “Submit” button.
• Step-8: A confirmation page will appear on the screen after submitting the form.
• Step 9: Take a printout of application form and keep it safe.

PTU 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Before applying for admission, candidates must go through the eligibility norms below: 

For B.Tech Course: 

• Qualification: Applying candidates must have passed class 10+2 from any recognized board. 
• Marks: In the qualifying exam, candidates must score at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates).  
• Subject: To apply, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as a mandatory subject along with one of Computer Science/ Biology, etc. 
• Appearing: Those appearing candidates in the qualifying exam will also be eligible for admission. 

For M.Tech Course: 

• Qualification: Candidates must have passed B.E/ B.Tech from a recognized board to apply. 
• Marks: To be eligible, candidates are required to score at least 50% marks for general (45% marks for reserved category candidates).  
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for admission. 

PTU 2026 Admission Procedure 

Admission procedure of PTU Exam 2026 will be organized via online mode. There will be various steps in the admission process such as filling of application form, submission fee, counselling, seat allotment, etc. For admission, there will be no entrance exam conducted by the authority. 

Candidates will get admission based on merit list & marks obtained in qualifying marks. One can also get admission based on national/ state level entrance exam scores. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling procedure. After counselling, candidates will get an admission in various programmes. 

PTU Exam 2026 Result 

Result for PTU Exam 2026 will be announced via online mode. To access the result, candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number & password in the given space. In the form of a merit list, results will be published by the authority. 

It will consist of the name of candidates, rank of candidates, marks obtained by the candidates in the exam, etc. candidates are suggested to keep the hard copy of result safe for further usage in admission. Those who will be selected in result will be eligible to participate in further counseling procedure. 

PTU 2026 Cut Off 

After publishing the result, PTU Exam 2026 cut off will be published. Candidates will be able to access the cut off marks via online mode. It is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates must obtain to be eligible for admission. 

Cut off marks depend on various factors such as availability of seats, total registration form, difficulty level of exam, category of candidates, past cut off trends, etc. Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in further counselling procedure through online mode. 

PTU 2026 Counselling 

The authority will organize a centralized counselling for PTU Exam 2026. There will be various rounds in the counselling procedure. Candidates will be able to participate in counselling via online mode. Those qualified candidates in the merit list will be able to participate in the counselling session.

Candidates will be required to submit Rs. 2000/- as one time counselling registration fee for each selected course. In PTU counselling, there will be various steps such as centralised online counselling registration, preparation of rank, choice filling, fee payment of online counselling, seat allocation, online reporting at allotted institute, provisional confirmation of admission by allotted institute, etc.

As per the preferences of candidates, they will be able to fill the course choices. Before the locking of choices, candidates will be able to edit their choices. Selected candidates must report at the allotted institute after the seat allotment. After allotting the seats, candidates will have to bring the documents for verification procedure.
