TNEA 2024 Application Form will release in the month of May 2024. It is a state level admission procedure which is organised every year by Anna University. Authority offers admission to the eligible candidates in various UG Engineering programmes like B.Tech/ B.E degree courses.

Candidates will be offered admission into various government and private engineering colleges and universities situated across Tamil Nadu state. The selection of the candidates is done on the basis of 12th level or qualifying exam scores. TNEA 2024 Application Form

• Candidates will be able to fill the application form through online mode.
• The application form of TNEA 2024 will be available in the first week of May 2024 on the website. 
• Fill all the asked details in the form such as name, email id, contact number, category, address, etc.
• Photograph and Signature and other important documents will be needed to upload in the form.
• Candidates will have to submit the form before the due date of submission, as no application form will be accepted after the last date.
• The last date to submit the application form will be till June/ July 2024.
• Correction facility will not be provided for making changes in the application form, so candidates have to make sure that the details must be correct.
• Candidates must take the print out of the form for future references.

Application Fee:

• The application fee of TNEA 2024 will be submitted through online mode.
• For online payment, candidates will have to pay the fee through debit card/ credit card/ or net banking, etc.

TNEA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility:

• Those passed 8th to 12th class from a recognised board in Tamil Nadu state will be eligible to apply. Such candidates will not need a nativity certificate for verification. 
• Candidates who are situated outside Tamil Nadu state have to show their Original Nativity Certificate. The certificate should be only in electronic form/ digitally signed e-certificate.
• Candidates who are children of central government employees can also apply for admission. Such candidates can only apply if their parents or guardians have served in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years at the time of submission of application. 
• Candidates who are Sri Lankan Refugee should have following certificates to be eligible to apply:
  • Identification certificate from the Head Quarters Tahsildar.
  • Candidates who will not register in the refugee camp should have their original passport, visa and letter registered with the police station.

Qualification:

• Class 11th and 12th passed candidates or its equivalent from any recognised board will be eligible to apply for admission.
• Candidates should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects in the qualifying exams.
• Students in the qualifying level should have obtained 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ SCA/ ST/ MBC & DNC/ backward class muslim).

Procedure to Apply for TNEA 2024

Here are the complete steps to apply for TNEA 2024:

• Visit the online website of TNEA (Link will be given above).
• Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab.
• Now, start filling the details in the form such as name, phone number, email id, date of birth, qualifying examination, etc.
• Candidates will have to enter their email address for the ‘User ID’.
• After successfully entering the details click the ‘Save’ button and proceed.
• Details will not be edited later, so candidates must fill the details correctly before confirming.
• Now, candidates will get the OTP in their mobile as well as in their email ID. Enter the OTP provided on the screen and press the ‘Submit’ button.
• Next, enter the login ID/ email ID with password. 
• Interested candidates have to enter the required scholarship information, tuition fee concession, etc.
• Fill the complete details about the school in which you have studied from 6th to 8th standard. If you have applied for NEET/JEE, enter about it as well in the form.
• Now candidates will have to pay the registration fee through online mode which will be paid by debit card, credit card or net banking.
• Once the payment is done candidates will not be able to edit the application form and certificate.
• Upload the scanned copies of all the required documents (minimum size 20KB to maximum size of 50KB) for photograph and signature.
• Download and take a print out of the application form for other references.
