UGC NET Previous Year Exam Analysis (2024)

January Session (Shift I & II):

As per the students, Paper I of Shift I was easy to moderate & Paper II was tough. In income tax & business economics, questions were repeated from previous year question paper.

In Paper I of Shift II, students felt that Paper I was easy to moderate & Paper II was moderate in difficulty level.

Day I Exam Analysis (Shift I & II):

UGC NET 2024 Exam Analysis has been released for Shift I & Shift II which was held on 3rd January 2025. Students who took the Day I exam found the exam tougher than last year. Questions were also asked from previous year question paper.

According to students, shift 1& shift 2 exam was moderate in overall difficulty level. Some students felt that some questions were straightforward, but some were from research methodology, which required a deeper understanding.

UGC NET 2024 Exam Analysis has been released to provide valuable insights on the conduct of entrance exams, such as types of questions asked, difficulty level, subject-wise weightage, marking scheme, etc. UGC NET 2024 Entrance Exam is conducted for 83 subjects in two shifts, i.e, morning and evening shift.

UGC NET 2024 exam is conducted via offline (Pen & Paper) mode. Shift-1 is being conducted from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and Shift-2 from 3:00 PM to 06:00 PM. The level of question papers is expected to be moderate to difficult.

UGC NET 2025 Answer Key

UGC NET Answer Key 2025 will be made available to candidates through online mode on the website. Applicants will be able to check answer key for both shift-1 & shift-2 from June 2025 for June session.

Along with the provisional answer key, the authority will be published a response sheet and question paper for each subject. Candidates are given an opportunity to challenge provisional answer key within a specified time period, by depositing a processing fee of Rs. 200/- per question.

UGC NET 2025 Result

UGC NET 2025 Result will be announced in percentiles along with overall marks obtained by applicants. Authority compile the result on the basis of final answer key. Candidates will be able to check their results through online mode by entering their login credentials.

Result will be announced by the authority in February 2025 for all appeared candidates. Based on the performance of candidates in their entrance exam, they will be invited to participate in counselling and further admission process.

UGC NET 2025 Selection Procedure

Those applicants who have appeared for UGC NET exam will be selected for assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) on the basis of their performance in exam. Selection of candidates will be on the basis of rank obtained and marks scored in exam.

For the selection of assistant professor and JRF positions, top 6% candidates will be declared qualified out of total candidates. Authority will release separate merit lists for those candidates who will qualify NET JRF.
