VIT AP 2027 Eligibility Criteria 2027

For B.Tech Course:
- Nationality: One should be Resident/ Non-Resident Indian National/PIO/ OCI to apply.
- Qualification: To apply, candidates must have passed class 12th exam from a recognized board of India.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after 1st July 2004 to be eligible for the exam.
- Marks: In the qualifying exam, candidates must score 60% marks aggregate & 50% marks for SC/ST category & candidates of state of Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the Northeastern states.
- Subject: To be eligible, one must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology subjects.
- Appearing: Those appearing candidates in the qualifying exam in 2027 can also be considered for admission.
For Integrated M.Tech Course:
- Nationality: Candidates must be resident of India to apply for admission.
- Qualification: One must have passed Higher Secondary exam from a recognized board to apply.
- Marks: In the qualifying exam, one must obtain at least 65% aggregate marks (60% aggregate marks) for reserved category candidates.
- Age Limit: To apply, one must be born on or after 1st July 2007 to be eligible for admission.
- Subject: One must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) to be eligible for admission.
VIT AP 2027 Admission Procedure
Eligible candidates will be able to participate in the VIT AP 2027 admission procedure. Through online mode, admission procedure will be organised. Candidates will be selected for B.Tech programmes based on the rank secured by the candidates in the entrance exam (VITEEE 2027).
Candidates will get admitted into various other programmes based on the merit list of the qualifying exam. Based on the candidate’s rank, preferences of campus and programme, the seats will be allocated to the candidates. Also, the university will provide the provisional admission letter to the selected candidates through online mode.
VIT AP 2027 Entrance Exam (VITEEE)
To offer admission to the eligible candidates, VIT University conducts its own entrance exam i.e VITEEE for UG engineering courses. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) will be conducted through online (CBT) mode.
A total of 2 hours and 30 minutes will be allotted to solve the entrance exam. A total of 125 questions will be asked in the exam. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the entrance exam. English medium will be available in the question paper. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
VIT AP Merit Scholarship
University will provide the VIT AP 2027 merit scholarship to the candidates based on their performance in academic report & personal interview.
For GV Merit Scholarship, Any board topper across the country will get 100% scholarship for all the years of the UG degree programmes (B.Com & B.A). For Tmt. Rajeswati Ammal Merit Scholarship, any district topper across the country will get 50% scholarship for all year of UG degree programme. If district topper is a girl, she will receive an additional 25% scholarship (making it 75% scholarship).
For PG Non-Engineering programmes, 100% full merit scholarship to a candidate who has secured CGPA of 9.0 or 90% and above (whichever is applicable) in the semesters/ three years of qualifying UG Exam. For Rajeswari PG Merit Scholarship, 50% scholarship to a candidate who secured CGPA of 8.0 or 80% and above in the 6 semesters/ Three Years of the qualifying UG examination and an additional 25% for a girl candidate making it a 75% scholarship.
VIT AP 2027 Counselling 2027
Those qualified candidates in exam will be eligible for VIT AP 2027 counselling procedure. It will be organised through online mode. Counselling will be common for VIT group of Institutions. Candidates qualified in entrance exam/ merit list will be eligible to participate in counselling procedure.
In the counselling process, one will be able to select the campus/ programme/ fee category. One will have to submit the non-refundable fee of Rs 5900/- as a counselling fee. Based on the rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam/ qualifying exam, the seats will be allocated to the candidates.
A provisional admission letter will be made available via online mode after submitting the counselling fee. Also, candidates will be required to carry the original & Photocopies of documents during the reporting period for verification procedure. After verifying the documents, the seats will be confirmed.
