Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam
Andhra University is the educational institution approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University was set up in the year 1926 and situated in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The University imparts the quality technical and management education from the last 89 years. In addition to this, it is rated as “A” grading University by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Also, ranked second best among the state Universities and eighth among all the Universities situated across the country.
Campus
The University has the immense campus of 422 acres, well-furnished with 121 buildings, also houses the staff quarters. The lush green campus is situated in Vishakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh state. The University accommodates 4 associated colleges.
Facilities
The university has the hostel facility for girls and boys separately. The hostels are well-provided with the fooding facility and the campus is fully enabled with the Wi-Fi facility. There are total 3 health centre, a homeopathy dispensary, 3 guest houses, etc. Transport facility is also provided for staff members and students. The spacious classroom furnishes the students with the conducive learning environment. The huge library of the college has the collection of rich books, national and international journals, reports, CDs, etc.
Programmes
The University facilitates the management education. It provides the two-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree to the eligible candidates. The UGC approved MBA courses are offered by the University in various disciplines including retail management.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Law is a constituent unit of Andhra University which offers various BCI approved law courses such as LL.B, LL.M, Ph.D in law, etc. The most sought law courses offered by this college are mentioned here:
