Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa

Awadhesh Pratap Singh University (APSU), Rewa was started on the 20th July 1968 by Capt. Awadhesh Pratap Singh an eminent freedom fighter. The University got University Grants Commission (UGC) recognition in February 1972. It has membership of the All Commonwealth Association of Universities (ACAU) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Campus

The University campus is spread over in 246.20 acres of land in the north of Rewa City. The campus is located at a distance of about 5 kms from the main city of Rewa-Sirmour Road. The APSU has an administrative block that comprises of Science Block, Humanities Block, MBA Department and etc.

Facilities

The University has a computer centre, guest house, yoga hall, common room, auditorium and staff quarter. It provides the facilities such as Indian Post Office, branches of Allahabad Bank, Employment Bureau as well as a medical dispensary within the campus. The University also offers the facilities and amenities of modern life like as canteen, a small shopping center, large gymnasium hall and a big stadium. There is a central library with rich gatherings of 75000 books, 4507 short research papers, journals, periodicals, research materials, magazines and newspapers. APSU has a two hostels one for girls and other for boys.

Programmes

The Awadhesh Pratap Singh University provides regular courses, self-supporting and Correspondence Courses. In self-supporting courses, the university provides Business of Master administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). It also offers a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in correspondence courses. This MBA and BBA department was recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
