B.R.D Medical College, Gorakhpur

B.R.D Medical College (BRDMC), Gorakhpur is a government medical college that was established on 8th November, 1969. The college was laid by late Shri C.B. Gupta, then chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in the memory of the great freedom fighter Baba Raghav Das. The BRDMC is affiliated to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University. It is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Campus

The college is situated in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The campus of the colleges is spread in a total area of 147.6 acres and the college is constructed in an area of more than 12,000 sq.mts. The BRDMC has an administrative/ teaching block and student block. The campus is well-linked with the air and road transportation.

Facilities

The college has separate hostels for boys and girls under the administration of a warden and an assistant warden. Hostel students manage their own mess that provides kitchen and dining halls. There is a residential building for the Lecturers, Professors & other senior officers. The colleges also offer the given facilities like as health care service, auditoriums, computer centre, lecture theatres, hospital, transportation, sports and games, canteen/mess.

The central library of the colleges has a rich collection of books, journals, projects, reports, magazines, newspapers and etc. The college has a different departments of non-clinical and para clinical subjects of medical education, etc.

Programmes

B.R.D Medical College, Gorakhpur offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The annual intake capacity of the Medical College for MBBS is 100 seats in different departments. The college also offers PG degree/diploma courses.
