College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, Nadia is a premier medical college offering training, research and education in the medical field. The college was established in the year 2009 and approved by Medical Council of India (MCI). The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences.

The college is situated in Nadia. The campus of the college is equipped with all the necessary facilities and provides a perfect ambience for the overall growth and education of the students.

Programme

College of Medicine and JNM Hospital offers undergraduate course in the medical field. The college offer course in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme. The duration of the MBBS programme is four and a half years with the compulsory rotational internship training of one year. The students those want to pursue the MBBS course must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in their class XII.

Internship

The candidates enrolled for the MBBS programme has to do the internship which refers to one-year compulsory work in the hospital attached to the medical college or in any other approved hospital as allowed in some medical colleges(also known as Teaching Hospital), for a period of one year. Internship is a phase of training wherein a graduate is expected to conduct actual practice of medical and health care and acquire skills under supervision so that he/she may become capable of functioning independently.
