Dr BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam

The Dr BR Ambedkar University has been founded by the Andhra Pradesh State Government G.O vide MS No: 89 Higher Education (UE.II) Department in the year of 2008. It is a public university that is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Andhra University campus at Etcherla is now converted in the administrative control of the BR Ambedkaar University.

Campus

The University is situated in Etcherla, Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. The campus is well-linked with the Visakhapatnam City that is well-accessible by all means of transportation. The nearest railway station is located on Srikakulam Road that is around 10 kms from the campus. The University is spread over 195 acres of land on which the campus is extended over 29 acres.

Facilities

The University has a computer lab that is well-equipped with all the modern facilities such as and latest equipments and internet connectivity. The Library has a vast collection of various books, periodicals, National and International journals, newspaper, and reports. The Library is well-connected with the wifi connection. There is a facility such as cafeteria, sports, medical, gym, workshops, transport and so many. There is also a hostel facility with all the basic amenities.

Programmes

The Dr BR Ambedkar University offers 16 P.G. courses that are backed up by 72 faculty members and 110 non-teaching staff members. The university provides two years Master of Business Administration (MBA).
