Government Medical College, Nainital

Government Medical College, Nainital was established on 19th March, 1997 under the aegis of the Uttarakhand Forest Hospital Trust, Haldwani. Its foundations was laid down by Shri Romesh Bhandari, the then Hon’ble Governor of U.P. This college is affiliated with Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Medical University and approved by Medical Council of India (MCI) and Government of India. This college is also known as Uttarakhand Forest Hospital Trust Medical College.

Campus

This college has a sprawling campus spread over around 90 acres of land. The campus is situated in Rampur Road, Haldwani. Haldwani is a city located in the Nainital District of the state of Uttarakhand. The campus is located in serene environment which offers the good ambience for studies.

Facilities

This college offers residential facilities separately for boys and girls with the capacity of around 150 students. Hostel rooms are fully furnished and equipped with all the general amenities. It houses a spacious library which is stocked with the collection of books on various medical departments. It also has subscribed to several journals. A spacious auditorium with the seating capacity of total 1000 students is running under construction. It also offers transport facility, hygienically maintained cafeteria, laboratories for all departments, computer center, etc.
