What’s New in NEET UG 2026?
NTA has officially announced some major changes in this session of NEET UG exam 2026. Check below NEET UG 2026 New Changes:
- NEET Live Photo Capture – At the time of form filling, candidates have to upload their live photograph. The live photograph should be matched with the Aadhaar database.
- Aadhaar Based eKYC – NTA has strongly recommended to use Aadhaar card as the identity proof for the smooth verification process. In case of using other IDs, candidates have to upload the signed & attested certificate.
- Exam City & Medium (Language) Allocation – Candidates are required to choose three exam cities at the time of form filling. The city allocation will be done as per candidates present and permanent address. Also medium of the exam can be selected as per the candidates provided address.

NEET UG 2026 Paper Analysis
NTA has conducted the NEET UG 2026 exam successfully in 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM shift. As per the students reaction and feedback, the exam difficulty level was moderate and it was NCERT based too.
Biology was easy and can help students in scoring more and chemistry was considered moderate in difficulty level. While Physics was the toughest one due to concept based and time consuming questions.
As compared to NEET 2025, the exam was similar moderate in difficulty level and a bit lengthy due to Physics section. More details will be updated here soon.
NEET 2026 Answer Key
NEET 2026 Answer key has been published via online mode. It has been released few days after examination on 6th May 2026. Authority has first released provisional answer key. It has been released in the form of pdf. Candidates will be also given an option to make challenges against answer key (if anY) by paying Rs. 200 per question.
Once objection period gets over, authority will publish final answer key. With the help of key, candidates will be able to assume their marks even before result declaration. Though, one must make sure that result will be prepared on the basis of final answer key.
NEET 2026 Result
NEET 2026 Result will be made available via online mode. It will be published in third week of June 2026. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as application number & password to download result.
Result will contain details such as candidate’s name, roll number, D.O.B, marks obtained & qualifying status. It will be pre[ared on the basis of final answer key. Further, it will be mandatory for all qualified candidates to participate in the counselling process.

NEET 2026 Cut Off Criteria is released separately by various institutes & official authority. Cut Off are the minimum marks one have to score to qualify the examination. It depends on various factors such as no. of candidate’s appeared, difficulty level of exam previous year cut off trend etc.

NEET 2026 Counselling
NEET 2026 Counselling procedure will be held via online mode. It will get commenced in July 2026. It will be mandatory for all qualified candidates to participate in the counselling session. The 15% All India Quota (AIQ) Seats & 85% State Quota will be held separately by the state counselling authority.
Counselling will include various steps such as registration, choice filling, allotment & then admission. The counselling procedure for 15% AIQ, Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including BHU & AMU will be managed by Medical Council Committee (MCC). One must know that admission will be given to candidates after fee submission & verification of documents.

NEET 2026 Admit Card
NEET 2026 Admit Card is available via online mode. It has been published few days before examination i.e on 26th April 2026. Candidates must keep their login credentials such as application number & password ready to download hall ticket. It contain all details such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time & venue and also exam instructions.
Students must note that authority has first released exam city slip & then hall ticket. Students must make sure all details in the admit card are correct as any incorrect details in the card will lead to rejection of candidature. NEET 2026 city intimation is released from 12th April 2026.
NEET 2026 Exam Pattern

NEET 2026 Application Correction
NEET 2026 Application correction process is enabled via online mode. Candidates are able to edit only few details in the application form. Students must note that it is one time opportunity. No such facility will be provided later. One must edit their incorrect details within given time period.
The process has been commenced from 12th to 14th March 2026. To make changes in NEET application form, candidates will have to use login credentials such as application no. & password.
NEET UG 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check following eligibility norms before applying for NEET 2026:
- Nationality: Indian National Citizen, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Foreign Nationals, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), PIO will be eligible to apply.
- Qualification: Applying candidate must have qualified 12th level examination from any recognized board or university.
- Age Limit: One must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission. One must be born on or before 31.12.2009.
