Government Medical College, Pauri Garhwal

Government Medical College is also referred as Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Government Institute of Medical Science and Research which is established in the year of 2008. This college has been started with an approval of MCI (Medical Council of India) and it is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna (HNB) teaching hospital is also associated with this college.

Campus

The campus is located in the scenic surroundings of Srinagar city which comes under the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. The Srinagar campus is located 104 kms away from the Rishikesh and it is well approachable by road, rail and air transport.

Facilities

The classrooms are well-furnished and equipped with audio-video teaching aids to facilitate better learning. It also houses well-equipped for all the medical departments like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, etc. It has a computerized central library which is stocked with the vast collection of books, journals, periodicals which covers the entire medical departments. It also houses three lecture theatres equipped with modern teaching aids and with the seating capacity of over 140 students. Other facility includes medical facility, sports facility, well-maintained canteen, advanced computer centre and many others.

Government Medical College, Pauri Garhwal runs an undergraduate medical course MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery).
