Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur
Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya formerly known as the Guru Ghasidas University was established on 16th June 1983 in Bilaspur. Now the university has been awarded as the central university and an active member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The university is accredited by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The Department of Pharmacy of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya – School of Studies in Natural Resources runs diploma, UG, PG and doctoral courses in pharmacy field.
Campus
The campus of the university is spread over in 658 acres of land parallel to the River Arpa. The university is situated in the Koni Post around 5 km away from the Bilaspur town. The campus is well-connected by the roads and the city buses besides the campus having a well-connected transport facility.
Facilities
The campus has various ambient facilities for the students and teachers as well. The campus has a central library, health centre, separate hostel for boys and girls, central placement cell, central computer centre, staff quarters, auditorium, transport services, cafeteria, guest house, sports facility, women development cell, industrial interface cell and many separate buildings for ambient infrastructure.
