IIT, Kharagpur
The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur popularly known as IIT Kharagpur is one of the top most engineering colleges in the country. The college was established in the year 1951 by the government of India. The IIT-K is the first IIT to be established post independence with the objective of providing quality technical education and training programs to the Indian students. The college is an autonomous institution and offers graduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in various disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Law, etc.
Campus:
The college campus of IIT, Kharagpur is situted is spread in the area of 2100 acres of lush green land. The college has excellent infrastructure and provide all academic and recreational facilities to the students. The college has good connectivity with both road and railway transport located at few distance away from the campus.
Facilities:
The college has state of the art infrastructure, well equipped labs and fully furnished classrooms with audio visual aids, the college has central library having huge volume of books and journals. The college also have conference hall, seminar hall, and auditorium to conduct all the presentation and programs. The college also provide sports facility, canteen and mess facility and transportation facility to the students.

The college conducts various activities like cultural fest, sports event, tech event etc. for the all round development of the students.
