Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow

Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) is a constituent college of UP technical university, administered by IET society and established by the state government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 1984. It is private, government and co-educational institution. It is better known as the “Engineering College” in Lucknow, and the oldest engineering college in Lucknow. College is affiliated to Gautam Budh Technical University, Lucknow (formerly UP Technical University). College is approved by AICTE- All India Council of Technical Education, and MHRD- Ministry of Human Resource and Development, New Delhi, Govt. of India. College is recognized by Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education and State Government of Uttar Pradesh.


Institute of Engineering and Technology is situated in the out skirt of Aliganj at the entrance of Lucknow from Sitapur road in Lucknow district of UP. It is well-connected by road and rail beside its own conveyance. The campus is spread over an area of 100 acres of land.


The campus has well-established amenities and advanced facility for the students. The campus provides the facility of laboratories, library, computer centre, spacious classrooms, seminar hall, canteen, transportation, sports area, medical and hostel facility.


Institute of Engineering and Technology offers six under graduate and four postgraduate degree programs in various discipline of engineering & technology and management study. Top engineering disciplines are as the follows:

The campus has established a placement cell. The placement cell invites various companies like Adobe, TCS, Pitney Bowes, Tata Motors, Hero Honda,Tech Mahindra, Lanco, Birlasoft, L&T, Nokia Siemens Networks, Reliance Power, Alstom, Newgen Software, Fiserv, Honda, Impetus and many others  for on-campus placements.
