Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan

Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) is a private aided university located in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The university was established in the year 2002 and offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level studies and research in engineering and applied sciences disciplines. The university is recognized by the state government of Himachal Pradesh and approved by UGC under the section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.

Campus:

The JUIT is located at Waknaghat in Sloan district of Himachal Pradesh. The university campus is situated in an area of 25 acres of lush green land and having serene, peaceful environment. The university campus is located 3 km off national highway 22, the nearest railway station is Kaithleeghat, located at a distance of 4 km from Waknagha and the nearest airport is located in Shimla.

Programmes:

The university is offering six courses in the graduate engineering discipline and other courses offered by the university are pharmacy and doctoral programs in various disciplines. Facilities:

The University offers best in class facilities to its students, having state of the art infrastructure, well spacious and ventilated classrooms with audio video aids, fully equipped labs and workshops. The university has fully automated learning resource centre stacked with latest books, printed and e-journals. The college has a well equipped computer centre equipped with 1000 IBM desktops available to the students in the five computer labs. The other facilities offered by the JUIT include hostel facility, canteen and mess facility, sports facility, ATM facility etc.

Activities:

The co curricular and extracurricular activities are the crucial part of the college curriculum and the students of the JUIT participates in all activities organized throughout the year. Placement:

The JUIT has a fully featured Training & Placement department. The cell handles campus placement of the graduating student of all departments.
