Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal

Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) was established in the year 1980 as a private, self-financing and co-education institution, set up by the Ekasila Education Society. The KITS is affiliated to the Kakatiya University, Warangal and approved by the AICTE and Ministry of HRD.

Campus:

The KITS is sited on the Karim Nagar – Warnagal Highway at 6 km from Hanamkonda in Bheemaram Village in District Warangal, AP. The campus is spread over in 65 acres of land and 10 km away from the Kazipet Railway Station.

Programmes:

At present, the KITS campus offers 1017 seats for annual admission in all programmes and has 186 faculty members and 72 supporting staff from all departments.

Facilities:

The campus provides research labs, engineering & science laboratories, workshops, central library, students support centre, transportation facility, separate hostel for boys & girls, indoor & outdoor sports facility, seminar hall, conference room, auditorium, health centre, canteen, computer centre and Bank.

Activities:

The campus regulates the student activity centre & clubs. The student council organizes the eye camp & tree plantation, group discussion, technical quizzes, personality & communication skill development programmes.

Placement:

The KITS campus has a full-fledged Training & Placement Cell for providing all arrangements for the job placement for the students. The placement department provides the summer internship, career counselling, student development skills, general competency support and industrial exposure.
