National Institute of Homoeopathy offers training, education and research in the medical field. The institution was established in the year 1975 and is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The institution is approved by Central Council of Homoeopathy.
Campus
The institution is situated in Salt Lake City, Kolkata. The campus is spread in an area of 16 acres of land. The campus has separate academic and student block and provides a perfect ambience to the students for their study and growth.
Facilities
The institution provides all the necessary facilities to the students such as library which has a collection of books, reference materials, several reputed foreign and national journals and magazines. The institution has air-conditioned and well-facilitated computer labs. It has lecture halls with the latest teaching aids like LCD projectors, sound systems, OHP devices and fast-working computers. Besides these various other recreational facilities are also available in the campus like, sports facility and cafeteria etc.
Programme
National Institute of Homoeopathy offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the medical field. The institution offers undergraduate course in Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (B.H.M.S.) and postgraduate course in MD (Homoeopathy). The duration of the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (B.H.M.S.) course is five and a half years with the compulsory rotational internship training of one year while the duration of the MD (Homoeopathy) is three years.
