National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Manipur

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Manipur is the autonomous institution established in the year 1974, located at Akampat, Imphal, Manipur. NIELIT has 21 centres across the country. NIELIT centres provide various UG/PG formal and non-formal courses in the field of Information Technology, Electronics Product Design and Technology.

Campus

The campus of the college covers the area of more than 20 acres and located at Akampat, 5 kms in the Southeast direction from the heart of the city. The campus houses the main building of the institute consists of administrative block and academic block.

Facilities

In-house hostel facility for the students, quarters availability for staff members, well-managed laboratories of different departments furnished with all the modern equipments, canteen and mess facility, Wi-Fi enabled campus, PCB lab, Electromedical laboratory. Facility of 8 computer labs well-equipped with a large number of PCs, availability of communication lab in the campus. Apart from this, college library has more than 13,219 volumes of books.

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Manipur offers the ‘O’ and ‘A’ level courses in Computer Hardware Maintenance, also proposed ‘O’ level programs in Multimedia & Animation Technology. The college provides the diploma courses in following disciplines:
