National Institute of Technology (NITM), Manipur

The National Institute of Technology, Manipur is established in the year of 2010 under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989. The NITM is one of the ten newly NITs set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). This institute was founded to look after the requirements of students from the northeast region and outside in the field of technical education.

Campus

This institute is currently functioning in its temporary Campus, which is located at Takyelpat, Imphal. The campus is spread over around 341.5 acres of land of Langol, Imphal.

Facilities

This institute offers hostel facility for both girls and boys. At present, there are two boys hostels and one girls hostels are available. It also provides medical and health care facility, transport facility, banking and post office facility, centralized library, workshops, campus internet, spacious classrooms, laboratories for all departments, well-maintained cafeteria and many more.

Placement

This institute has a training and placement cell which organizes skill development programmes, campus interviews, pre-placement talks and many more. The TP Cell assists their students in getting placed in many companies.
