National Institute of Technology, Warangal

National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW) is a government & autonomous institution, has been awarded as the status to be a deemed university by the MHRD in 2002. The NITW has been established in the year 1959 by the Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. The NITW was formerly known as the Regional Engineering College. In the year 2002, the institution recognized as the Institute of National Importance and renamed as the present. The NITW is administered by the NIT Council of India. NITW offers the management, engineering and doctoral courses.

Campus

The NITW is spread over in 248 acres of land, sited on the Hyderabad – Warangal Highway at 12 km from the Warangal Railway Station and 3 km from the Kazipet Railway Station in district Warangal, AP. The campus is 140 km from the Hyderabad City.

Programmes

The NITW offers eight B.Tech programmes, 29 PG programmes (M.Tech, M.Sc, and MBA & MCA) in management, engineering and science and PhD programmes in various subjects. Read More >>

The NITW has around 3355 students 200 faculty members and 360 administrative and supporting staff from all departments.

Facilities

The NITW provides advanced research centre, 100 laboratories, central library, auditorium, student activity centre, computer centre, indoor game complex, seminar hall, stadium, dispensary and transportation. The campus is housed in 13 academic departments, 16 residential blocks, director’s bungalow, staff quarters, guest house and administrative block.

Activities

The NITW campus has been established various committees and clubs for the student’s welfare. The campus has woman cell, minority cell and SC/SC/OBC cell. The campus organizes the NCC/NSS activities, sports activities, technical festival named “Technozoin” and annual cultural activity named “Spring Spree”.

Placement
