Sarguja University, Sarguja

Sarguja University was established in the year 2008 under the Chhattisgarh University Act 18 of year 2008. The university is approved by the UGC and courses are approved by the AICTE. The university is recognized as the state university of Chhattisgarh. The university has around 42 affiliated colleges.

Campus

The campus of this university is spread over in 220 acres of land in Ambikapur. Formerly the university was started the functioning as a diploma college under Guru Ghasidas Univeristy, Bilaspur. In the year 2008 the government of Chhhattisgarh had been allotted the 220 acres of land to this campus on Ramanujganj Road in Ambikapur, the headquarter of Sarguja District. The campus is around 10 km away from the Ambikapur town and well-connected by the road and rail.
