Sathyabama University, Chennai

Sathyabama University is a deemed university that was formed in the year of 1987 under section (3) of the UGC Act, 1956. It is a Christian Minority Institution that was formerly known as Sathyabama Engineering College by Jeppiaar Educational Trust. The University is approved by UGC (University Grants Commission).

Campus

The University is located in Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The campus is sprawling in an area of 350 acres. It is placed in the town of Sholinganallur around 15 kilometers from Adyar in Chennai. The campus has an excellent infrastructure with the facilities such as modern laboratories, Internet and other general amenities.

Facilities

The University has a separate hostel accommodation for both girls and boys. The hostel provides the facility including Banking Facility with ATM counter, STD/ISD Telephone, Medical, Well equipped Gym and Indoor and Outdoor Games. There is also a facility health and fitness center, conference hall with slide projector, LCD projector and over head projector, canteen, transportation with 100 buses, wifi connectivity, bank and ATM. There is also a well-stocked library with the gathering of National and International journals, volumes, magazines and newspapers.

Programmes

The Sathyabama University offers 24 courses of Engineering at the Undergraduate level and 24 programmes at Postgraduate level in the field of engineering and management. The University provides two years Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The University has a full-fledged placement cell that monitors the placement opportunities and organizes campus interviews for the students. The T & P cell provides Career Development Program for the students who want to enter in the corporate world and introduce themselves to the probable employers.
