Sri Sairam Engineering College has been established in the year 1995 as a private and self-financing institution by Sapthagiri Educational Trust. The college is affiliated to the Anna University and approved by AICTE. The College is accredited with ISO 9001:2000 certification.

Campus:

The college initially started functioning in 1995 in the suburb of Chennai at Valasaravakkam locality, but in the year 1998, it shifted to the present site at Sai leo Nagar at Tambaram in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college is spread over in 300 acres of forest land.

Courses:

The campus has around 4000 students, 330 faculty members and 103 non-teaching staff from all departments.

Facilities:

The campus has spacious institutional area, instructional area and administration area including labs, workshops and classrooms. The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls, canteen, cafeteria, bank, ATM, gym, play ground, indoor stadium, central library beside departmental libraries, language lab, drawing hall, staff rooms and 4 computer centers.

Activities:

The campus conducts seminars, workshop, guest lecture, national conference and sports competition. The campus organizes the club activities, graduation day, cultural day, project exhibition, social activities and various extra and co-curricular activities.

Placement:

The training and placement cell of Sri Sairam Engineering College has established IIP – Industry Institute Partnership cell and Centre for Higher Studies.
