Vels University – School of Engineering, was established in the year 1992 by VAEL’S EDUCATIONAL TRUST. The college was known as the Vels College of Science, Technology and advanced studies during the 1992-2008. The college is recognized by UGC and has the status as Vels University. The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Vels University imparts education in pharmacy field.

Vels University is situated in very pleasant surrounding at Pallavaram town in Chennai district of Tamil Nadu.The campus is spread over in 49 acres of land. The campus has various schools as the departments of academic studies.
