Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Ahmedabad
Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC) is a government institution administered by the State Directorate of Technical Education. The VGEC was established in the year 1994 by the state government of Gujarat. The college is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University and approved by the AICTE and MHRD and state government of Gujarat.
Campus:
The VGEC campus is sited on the Sabarmati – Koba Highway opposite of Sangath Mall near Visat Three Roads in Chandkheda in district Ahmadabad, Gujarat. The VGEC campus is 5 km away from the Sasbarmati Railway Station and 15 km away from the SV International Airport, Ahmadabad. The VGEC campus has total 12 academic blocks with built-up area across 5.18 acres of land.
Students & Faculty:
The VGEC offers the annual intake over 696 seats for all programmes. The campus has around 117 faculty members from all departments.
Facilities:
The campus has the separate laboratory for each department cater to the industrial testing, in addition to the practical and projects of the students. The VGEC has a rich library with over 10,000 volumes of books, a computer lab with 4Mbps internet speed, and workshops.
Activities:
The VGEC conducts an Individual Growth & Nourishment through Integrated Technical Education – IGNITE Project, where students can visit to submit their achievements in sports, publications, participation and other at state, national and international level.

The VGEC is conducting the B.Tech/B.E degree programme in eight disciplines and M.Tech/M.E degree programmes in two specializations, in the field of technology & engineering. The Main branches of engineering education offered by the VGEC are as the following:
